FDM-metal
Metal prototypes?
Let's do it ... just different!
With FDM metal printing, PTZ is expanding the options for its customers in the field of additive manufacturing of metallic prototypes. The most important advantage of this technology: The variety of alloys! The special filament used in this process consists of a metal powder of the selected alloy and a plastic binder. using a heated nozzle in a 3D printer and applied to a construction platform. The actual component is then created in the following process of debinding and sintering.
The technology is similar to the MIM (metal injection molding) process known from series production. With FDM metal printing, the prototypes and pre-series for later MIM series parts can be generated and tested. Thanks to in-house production, PTZ not only has a time advantage, but also the necessary know-how of the overall process.
